Emma Cook was born and raised in Toronto and has been singing for as long as she can remember.

Emma is a graduate of grade 9 voice through Western University's Conservatory of Music Program.Emma has honed her style and crafted her own original sound. Her songs are extremely powerful and are complimented perfectly by her distinct and intricate guitar playing. Emma's guitar playing expresses her emotions almost as eloquently as her melodies and lyrics.

The summer of 2003 saw the founding of Emmazing Records, Emma's own independent label which she used to release her debut album entitled "Manifesto." The stunning quality of the song-writing and the beautiful dynamics of her voice really shine on thes record. Her lyrics are intelligent and outspoken, covering issues such as womens rights and politics as well as love and of course, fun. The songs range from simple arrangements with guitar, voice and accordian, to more dynamic tunes with drums, bass, keys and percussion.
